Name of Exam.

Eligibility

Primary Level

(i) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./B.T.C.), or
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./B.T.C.), obtained in accordance with National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Standards and Procedures) Regulations, 2002. or
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and two year Diploma in Pedagogy (Special Education) (D.Ed.). Graduation (or its equivalent) and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed./B.T.C.).

(ii) Such Shiksha Mitras working on honorarium in Government Primary Schools who have passed two year D.El.Ed. training from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) after the permission of the State Government. or

• A candidate who has obtained a two-year Diploma in Pedagogy (Special Education) from an institute recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) will be considered for appointment as a teacher to teach classes I to V, but the person so appointed as a teacher must complete a 6-month bridge course in primary education recognized by NCTE within two years of being appointed as a primary teacher.

• Candidates undergoing training or have taken admission in one-year degree training course and two-year degree/diploma training course and four-year degree training course will also be eligible for Teacher Eligibility Test 2024.

• All educational degrees must have been obtained from a university established by law in India or a recognized board. Training degrees must have been obtained or are being obtained from institutions recognized by NCTE.

• For candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/ST/OBC and handicapped), relaxation of 05% will be given in marks obtained at graduation level.

· Percentage of higher secondary/graduation/training qualification will be calculated as per the procedure prescribed in accordance with National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations.

Junior Level

Graduation (or its equivalent) and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.) Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and one year Bachelor in Education B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Institutional only). OR
Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and one year Bachelor in Education
B.Ed./L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Institutional only) obtained in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4 years B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.  OR
Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed B.Ed. (Special Education) recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). OR

Passed Graduation or Post Graduation and B.Ed with minimum 50% marks, but the condition of minimum percentage of marks at graduation level will not apply in case of those incumbents who had taken admission in Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course before 29th July 2011.

Note:

· Candidates undergoing training or have taken admission in one year degree training course and two year degree/diploma training course and four year degree training course will also be eligible for Teacher Eligibility Test 2024.

• Relaxation of 5% in marks obtained at graduation level will be provided for candidates belonging to reserved category (SC/ST/OBC and handicapped). · Calculation of percentage of Higher Secondary/Graduation/Training qualification will be done as per the procedure prescribed in National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
